01 — Why Vettika

First-round screening, without the first-round cost.

A voice AI runs the screen, scores it against your rubric, and hands you a transcript — so you only meet the candidates you choose.

0free min

Interview Minutes on us — one full screen, no card, no subscription. The agent screens applicants the day they apply.

0s

Rubric-scored report in your inbox after the candidate hangs up. No proctoring overlay.

0min

The shortest first-round you can run, and the default. Pick 10, 15, 20 or 30. Adaptive follow-ups, scored against your rubric, transcript kept.

Why we built it

The first round is broken hours of scheduling, half-listening, and gut-call rejections. A voice AI should run the screen, score it fairly against your rubric, and hand both sides the transcript.

So you spend your hours on the candidates who matter — and every applicant gets a real conversation, their own score, and no black-box rejection.

02 — Scheduling

There is no scheduling. That is the feature.

Share one link per role. Candidates consent and start whenever they are ready, from any browser — nothing to book, nothing to move, no calendar of yours to defend. The screen happens on their time and the scored report is waiting on yours.

What candidates actually say

We read the viral Reddit thread too.

17,614 upvotes on "I'd rather stay unemployed than talk to another robot." They were right. So we built the opposite.

07 — FAQ

Answers people actually search.

What is an AI first-round interview?

A voice AI conducts the same kind of conversation a recruiter or founder would in an initial screen — introduces the role, asks 4–6 questions about the candidate’s background, follows up adaptively on weak or interesting answers, then ends within a time cap. The output is a transcript and a rubric-scored report.

How is voice AI different from one-way video screening?

One-way video tools (Spark Hire, Willo, HireVue early) ask the candidate to record themselves answering pre-set questions. There’s no listening, no follow-up. Voice AI joins the call as a real participant — it can press on a vague answer, change the next question based on what was said, and respect the candidate’s time.

Are candidates okay with AI conducting interviews?

The viral Reddit thread that said "I’d rather stay unemployed than talk to another robot" was about black-box AI screening with no feedback. We designed for the opposite: the candidate keeps the transcript, and you can send them their score, and the interview caps at the length you chose — 10, 15, 20 or 30 minutes. See the candidate side yourself from the widget — sample transcript plus the exact scored report, no signup — you’ll judge faster than we can explain.

Is AI screening compliant with NYC Local Law 144?

LL144 requires three things: an independent bias audit within the prior year, public disclosure of its summary, and 10-business-day candidate notice before AEDT use. We build and keep the record an audit is run against — per-criterion scores for every candidate — and the candidate notice fires before every call. The independent audit itself is not yet complete; we publish its current status openly at /legal/aedt-bias-audit rather than claim it early. LL144 obligations sit with the employer, so read that page before screening NYC candidates.

Can candidates cheat using ChatGPT during a voice AI interview?

Real-time voice + adaptive follow-ups defeat scripted AI replies. The agent catches hesitation, mid-thought pivots, and follow-up context-misses that scripted answers can’t handle. We don’t proctor or run cheat-detection — we just talk fast enough that scripts fall apart.

How long does an AI interview take?

You pick the length — 10, 15, 20 or 30 minutes — and the agent hard-stops there, wrapping up cleanly rather than cutting off.

What happens to the recording?

Transcript is stored, audio is destroyed on hangup by default. Candidate can download their transcript. Audit log of every session is exportable for compliance.

How much does it cost?

Free gives you 10 minutes of interview time, no card. Starter is $19 for 50 minutes, Growth is $49 for 150 minutes, Scale is $149 for 500 minutes. Prepaid, no subscription, no overage. You buy three balances: Interview Minutes for live AI screening, Workspace Credits for AI writing, and Email Sends for delivered email. An interview deducts exactly the length you scheduled. No annual contracts.
